Zoom Problems
How Does Zoom Work?
Zoom is to video conferencing what Kleenex is to facial tissue.
And, with the global pandemic, both are being used more than ever.
As someone who's worked remotely for around 6 years, I'm happy there's finally a widespread understanding of the idiosyncrasies of working in a virtual environment.
This video is an ode to the little things that happen when you spend most of the day on video calls:
1. Unable to find the meeting invite.
2. Talking over each other.
3. Getting someone to figure out how to join by audio.
4. The guy who’s always late to meetings.
5. The people that don’t go on mute even when they’re eating, their dog is barking, or they are on the toilet.
6. Pulling teeth to get people to join by video.
7. Forgetting that you’re sharing a screen.
8. The Zoom freeze.
9. The one person who always has something to add at the end when you’re actually done with the meeting.
10. Accidentally sending a private message to the public chat.
11. Switching to audio to save bandwidth.
12. Kids in the background.
13. Resorting to using Google Meet (the Pepsi of video conferences).
Which ones am I missing?
