How to Best Use Your Calendar While Traveling
If it’s NOT in the calendar it DOESN’T happen
Join me and Zoe Nguyen from Remote Year as she explains the best ways to use your calendar while traveling. Knowing how to use your calendar for maximum effectiveness is crucial.
For those living the nomadic lifestyle, being constantly on the road makes it difficult to establish a routine. You don’t always know where you’re going to work or even sleep that day.
A flexible lifestyle requires budgeting intentional time to the important things. You can’t allow variables to become your excuse for dropping the ball.
🎨 CREATE COLOR-CODED CALENDAR BLOCKS
Not only does this look pretty, but blocks ensure you’re spending time on what's necessary. Create a system & allocate tasks that fit in the categories. Correlate colors & names that make sense to you. Ex: Creative Work (Green), Making Money (Red), Health (Blue).
👥SCHEDULE TIME TO MAINTAIN RELATIONSHIPS
Being nomadic often means not being around. It’s easy to go months without seeing loved ones. We often think we don’t NEED to schedule time like this but creating space in your calendar to catch up makes a world of difference.
⏰RE-EVALUATE HOW YOU SPEND YOUR TIME
Audit how you’re spending your time each week. Your ambitions and goals are dynamic, so don’t be afraid to experiment and re-align your schedule based on what’s working & what’s not.
